Rainbow Unit- Green Class Week 4
Date: 3rd Oct 2025 @ 3:16pm
This week has been super busy for the children in Green class. This week we have been sorting objects by colour and shape. The children are becoming much more confident in this. The children have also been taking part in sensory song. This is where we listen to a song and a sensory experience such as bubbles or blowing a balloon up are led by an adult. This is working on anticipation skills as over time, the children will associate the different songs with that sensory experience. All of the children have loved this and have shown great engagement in this session which we are very proud of them for.
We hope you have a lovely weekend!

This week in yellow class, it’s been another busy week! We have been exploring more of our cause and effect toys and some of the children have been allowing adults in engage in their play- only on their terms though!
The children are definitely becoming more familiar with objects of reference, walking independently towards the hall door at lunchtime and sitting down at the table at snack time! You will see from the photos the children all sit for snack and remain seated for the entire snack time! This is very good! We are very proud of them!

We have had a very busy week in Green class. This week we have been continuing to introduce the children to a range of sensory experiences including sensory circuits and sensory song. We have also been introducing some colour sorting activities using a communication board for the children to request more when they are ready to move onto the next colour.
With the weather changing over this last week, please if you have not already done so could you send a spare change of clothes, wellies and a puddle suit into school with your child’s name on it. Our school grounds are getting muddy and we don’t want any of the children’s uniforms to get ruined.
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Henwood, Ms Mort and Mr Waring 🙂
