Mental Health and Wellbeing
In addition to Personal Development (PHSE) lessons and assemblies we enrich our wider curriculum through a variety of approaches.
We have two trained ELSA's (Emotional Literacy Support Assistants) who offer soft landings for children at the beginning of the day and support through small group/1:1 interventions. Some children find lunchtime play difficult and they join a lunchtime nurture group where they can play in a supportive and small group environment.
Miss J. Brellisford, is our Mindfulness lead who supports pupils and staff in their delivery of mindfulness throughout the school.
Mrs K. Jones, SENDCo, is Senior Mental Lead and Mental Health First Aider.
If further support is required then school can refer to either the Mental Health Support Team (MHST NHS Bridegwater) and/or Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
