Rainbow Unit- Care of the Environment
Class: Rainbow Unit Year: 2026 - 2027
Orange 🟠and Yellow 🟡 Class
The week the whole of St Basil’s Catholic Primary School have taken two days off timetable to take part in “caring for our world and environment” days.
In the Rainbow Unit, we have taken part in our own activities relating to these days, as well as joining the rest of the mainstream children for some activities too!
In the Rainbow Unit we have:
- Been on a muddy walk, exploring the dens that adults had built and played in the rain
- Made creative symmetric butterfly pictures
- Made beautiful laminated leaves by spreading the paint safely
- Planted our own cress for families to look after at home 😊
- Took part in a sensory activities, painting our hands to create a important message for us all to remember
- Explored dry leaves, feeling them crumbling between our fingers and sprinkling them
We hope you have a lovely and safe half term!
See you on Monday 2nd November 😊
