EYFS - Bonfire Night

This week in EYFS, we have been learning all about Bonfire Night! The children discovered why Bonfire Night is celebrated and learned the story of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. We also talked about fire safety and how to enjoy fireworks and bonfires safely. 

We have been very creative, making our own bonfire pictures using chalk and tissue paper to create bright, fiery effects. The children also practised their fine motor skills with firework-themed activities and worked hard on their cutting skills to make beautiful fireworks.

In maths, we have been ordering numbers on rockets, helping us practise our counting and number recognition. During PE, the children had lots of fun moving like rockets, zooming and bursting just like fireworks in the sky.
